I have been a home inspector for over 20 years. I am a California licensed general contractor (lic# 416299) since 1981 specializing in remodeling and repair. Ethics do not permit bidding repairs on properties that I inspect. I do not believe an inspector should bid on his own findings, too much room for hanky-panky. I do compete with pest control companies on their termite report repairs usually saving clients around 10%.
I save my clients a lot of money by not investing in high tech reporting equipment and programs which have no bearing on the quality of home inspections. Same inspection, same high quality, same accuracy.
I am a member of National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI). I strongly subscribe to NACHI code of ethics and standards of practice.
